Four key themes have been outlined in Adelaide Plains Council’s Strategic Plan for 2021-2024.
More than 250 stakeholders provided input into the plan, which was facilitated by consultants Holmes Dyer and presented to councillors for endorsement at its ordinary council meeting in late February.
The four key themes of the Strategic Plan are Enviable Lifestyle, Emerging Economy, Remarkable Landscapes and Proactive Leadership.
APC believes these key themes will become the focus of its services, projects and budget over the coming four years, with mayor Mark Wasley praising the document.
“It is this kind of engagement and participation that leads to awareness and understanding of the community’s vision for the future,” mayor Wasley said.
APC CEO, James Miller, acknowledged the significance of strategic planning, stating the plan would guide council decisions for the next few years.
“Strategic planning provides a mechanism for council to fulfil the purpose and function of local government, relevant to the context and expectations of the community and stakeholders,” he said.
