Funding for local projects

Seven new local projects totalling $300,000 have been allocated funding through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Programme (Round 2) following Adelaide Plains Council’s monthly meeting on May 25.

Late last year APC received $1 million through this funding stream and allocated $700,000 to a significant upgrade of the Two Wells main street.

The remaining $300,000 has been allocated to the following community projects: the Mallala Bowling Club (replacement of greens); Two Wells Golf Club (upgrade of club rooms); Adelaide Plains Equestrian Club (further facilities upgrade); Lewiston Dog Park; Mallala RSL Sub Branch; Two Wells District Tennis Club (new court lighting); and the Parham and Districts Action Group.
