Adelaide Plains Council recently welcomed seven new citizens to its community at a Citizenship Ceremony held on Tuesday, September 17, as part of ‘Australian Citizenship Day 2019’.
The conferees, from four (4) countries including Philippines, United Kingdom, Poland and Romania, became Australian Citizens as part of a ceremony held at the Two Wells Council Chambers, officiated by Mayor Mark Wasley.
After the official proceedings, the new citizens enjoyed celebrating this momentous occasion with their family and friends.
“There is no greater privilege than our citizenship. It’s a life-long commitment to Australia’s values of freedom, democracy, equality and respect,” Mayor Wasley said.
“Each year we are privileged to welcome new Australians to our growing community as part of Australian Citizenship Day celebrations,” Mayor Wasley said.
