Mallala CWA – more than just meetings

The Mallala Branch of the South Australian Country Women’s Association is active in your community.

President, Mary O’Loan said meetings are held on the first Thursday of the months from March to December, and new members are always welcome.

“Sometimes we meet in our rooms in Mallala and at other times we arrange outings for the members,” Mary said.

“For instance, coming up in October, we are going for a tour of Parliament House in Adelaide, and for our November meeting, we will be in our rooms adjacent to the Mallala Institute.”

The November meeting will be an evening meeting with a light meal, and guest speaker will be Balaklava’s Margaret Manuel, who will speak about her travels in Spain.

The Mallala Branch members are also helping out at the local primary school with the Breakfast Club.

“Some members (but not all) are very good at handicrafts,” Mary laughed.

“We are a friendly group who welcome new members – so come along!”
