Writers’ visit highlights Aussie history

Popular Australian non-fiction writer, Kristin Weidenbach, will be a special guest speaker at the Two Wells Bowling Club on Tuesday, 23 May as part of the Two Wells Library’s regular organised author visits.

Kristin is an accomplished children’s and adult author.

She is the writer of the Australian bestseller “Mailman of the Birdsville Track: the Story of Tom Kruse”, which has sold over 100,000 copies since it was published in 2003.

Her children’s picture book “Tom the Outback Mailman” won the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Eve Pownall Award for Information Book of the Year in 2013.

Kristin is a PHD immunologist who switched to a successful writing career after completing her postdoctoral research at Stanford University in California.

She is also the author of several academic publications and the recipient of an award from the International Association of Forensic Sciences.
