Virginia girls make SAPSASA grand final

They came, they played their hearts out but it wasn’t to be for the Year 6/7 girls from Virginia Primary School who competed recently in the grand final of the SAPSASA girls’ football competition.

For the third year in a row the school made the grand final but did not come away without the silverware.

VPS PE teacher, James Yates, says the match was tough and hard fought, and despite the girls keeping their opposition, Marymount College, scoreless in the last half, they couldn’t quite peg back the lead.

Final scores were Virginia Primary School 1.3.9 to Marymount College 3.1.19.

What an achievement girls, better luck next year.
