Port Parham Sports and Social Club held their annual Strawberry Fete on Sunday February 22 in extremely hot weather.
This was 14th year the fete has been running and provided a wonderful opportunity for locals, and visitors to the area, a chance to enjoy the hospitality of the club whilst perusing small stalls, and partaking in a Dutch Auction.
All auction items were donated and included a range of goods such as an ice-cream maker, gift vouchers, basket of ladies products, and much more.
Attendees were also able to watch a Tupperware, Chef’s Toolbox and card making demonstration while delighted young ones completed the Yellow Brick Road activity.
A fun time was had by all, who were not deterred by the heat as the Club was an air-conditioned haven in the 40-degree heat of the day.
The kitchen was busy providing scones and strawberry jam as well as fish and chips with salad.
Funds raised are used by the Port Parham Sports and Social Club, located on First Street Port Parham.
