Neighbourhood Watch SA with Lisa Allen
Two Wells/Lewiston Neighbourhood Watch was pleased to make a donation to the Two Wells Football and Netball Sporting Club of $1000 last month, as well as a $500 donation towards the community youth bus.
This month police are targeting speeding, misuse of motor vehicles and drink drivers.
If you see something suspicious please call 131444 or the Two Wells Police to report.
The next Neighbourhood Watch meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9 from 7.30pm in the Two Wells RSL, Old Port Wakefield Road, Two Wells.
The Two Wells Blue Light group would like to extend a very big thank you to Senior Constable John Winsor for his support and efforts as the former chairperson of the committee and would also like to welcome the newly appointed chairperson, constable Josh Silvy.
Thank you to all members of the committee for their commitment to their positions this year.
The Two Wells Blue Light committee was happy to donate $250 each to the Two Wells Pony Club and Two Wells Tennis Club last month.
We were also happy to donate $500 to the Two Wells Scout Group, sharing monies raised from our discos back into the community.
The last Blue Light Disco was held on Friday August 29 from 7pm until 9.30pm, and with plenty of food, drinks and accessories a good time was had by all.
Are you looking to volunteer for Neighbourhood Watch and Two Wells Blue Light?
These are community programs which welcome all people interested in keeping Two Wells and Lewiston safe.
Two Wells Blue Light supports the youth in our area.
Joining the committee is a great way to have a say in keeping our community safe and providing opportunities for our youth.
Volunteer work looks great on your resume and can provide career opportunities and create new friendships.
Many people don’t volunteer as it’s hard to find time but all our committee requires is a two-hour meeting once a month and five, four-hour discos, a year.
We really hope to see some new faces; we also welcome police cadets or officers in the area to volunteer at our Blue Light Discos.
With a growing number of children attending we aim to continue to make our discos a great night for all.
