The fence is down!
Whole site inclusivity has been improved at Two Wells Community Children’s Centre following the recent removal of the fence between the kindergarten and the child care facility.
To further enhance our centre’s inclusive, family atmosphere, the fence between the outdoor play areas of the preschool and childcare has been removed.
This enables siblings to play together, for older childcare children to experience more age appropriate activities, and to extend play experiences for all children.
It has proven to be very successful, with preschool children accessing the bikes and bike track, and younger children using the bigger swings and climbing equipment, as well as all the children getting to know each other.
• Recently the children watched 12 chickens hatch from eggs. We have kept some to live in our chicken coop and to run around the yard with the children during the day.
• Staff changes – Amy Schultz, our assistant director, has gone on maternity leave and Emily Stringer has stepped up to this position. Our wonderful cook, Kerry, has won another position closer to her new home, and casino online we will miss her delicious array of food and organisational skills she provided for the past few years.
We have advertised for her replacement, a person who needs to have some cooking qualifications, and experience in cooking and food handling.
• Presently, the centre is undergoing an indoor facelift, with the whole centre being painted. It looks bright and fresh again.
• On Saturday, June 29, we will be raising funds by hosting the BBQ at Big W Gawler, so come along and buy a sausage from us!
